Kathryn recently made her main stage debut as Despina in Tidewater Opera Initiative’s inaugural season performances of Cosi fan tutte. In September of 2013, Kathryn was awarded first place in the Cantabile Project’s premier season auditions, and will be a featured performer in their upcoming recital series. Upcoming appearances include performing in the Professional Artist program at SongFest in Los Angeles, the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schichhi with Tidewater Opera Initiative, and the role of Thisbe in La Cenerentola with Roanoke Opera. Past appearances include Jane in Oh, Freedom! and the cover roles of Helmwige, Gerhilde, and Ortlinde in Die Walküre with Virginia Opera’s Spectrum Resident Artist Program; Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte, Clorinda in La Cenerentola, and Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia with the Westminster Opera Workshop; and several solo performances in recital. She regularly performs with the Virginia Chorale and has appeared as a featured soloist on several of their concerts, and has performed in the chorus at Virginia Opera, Opera New Jersey, and the Rome Festival.
