Geoffrey Bell

Growing up on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, Geoffrey began piano lessons at a young age and, in high school, started taking organ lessons. At 15, he became the organist at his home church and has been serving as a church musician ever since.

He attended Virginia Wesleyan College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music as well as the Church Music Certificate, and moved on to Shenandoah University for a Master of Music in Church Music. In May 2013, he obtained the Colleague certification (CAGO) from the American Guild of Organists and has served on the Tidewater chapter’s executive board.

In addition to the AGO, Geoffrey is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, and the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada. He has frequently served as a guest organist, accompanist, and conductor throughout eastern Virginia. He currently lives in Norfolk with his dog, Duncan and cat, Ollie.
