Christine Gundayao is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is a registered Suzuki violin teacher. Christine earned a B.A. degree in Music from the Florida State University and a M.M. degree in Violin Performance from the University of Arizona, where she studied with Mark Rush.
Christine began studying violin at the age of 9 through the Virginia Beach Public Schools. Since then she has been on faculty at the University of Utah teaching General Music, and the University of South Alabama where she also taught String Methods. Christine taught strings for the Music Education Program through the Mobile Symphony in Alabama, and performed with symphonies across the southeast as well as Utah, Wyoming, and Arizona. Most recently she has explored the world of fiddling and won 3rd place in the 2017 Utah State Fiddling Championship.
Christine has also made several trips to Ghana and Cuba to study music and dance. Her other activities include Latin dance, reading, and exploring the great outdoors with her two Labrador Retrievers.
