While a student Mrs. Jones performed in many elite ensembles including: Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Clarinet Studio Choir, Chamber Ensembles, Vocal Jazz Ensemble and she was a four year member of the Pride of West Virginia Marching Band.
With twelve years of classroom teaching experience, Mrs. Jones has contributed greatly to the local school system; she has taught at the elementary level and the middle school level with devout focus to middle school band. Mrs. Jones served as a co-operating faculty member to local Universities mentoring student teachers and donated her time as a new teach mentor. Mrs. Jones served as a leader on the secondary music staff as co-chair of many city-wide instrumental events as a rehearsal technician and as a guest conductor. Mrs. Jones was previously the band director at Blair Middle School in Norfolk, VA where her students achieved high ratings at district festivals and city-wide events.
Mrs. Jones lives in the Bayview section of Norfolk with her husband and two children.
