Arianna Greggs holds a Bachelor of Music from Virginia Commonwealth University where she studied under Susanna Klein. She is also a previous graduate of the Norfolk Governor’s School for the Arts. Arianna started her musical journey playing viola at 11 years old and made the switch to playing violin at 14 years old.As an orchestral musician, Arianna has held positions as Assistant Concertmaster of Carnegie Hall’s 2021 National Youth Orchestra (NYO2), Principal Second Violin (2023) and Assistant Principal Second Violin (2024) in the National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute (NSO SMI), and was one of the rotating concertmasters of VCU’s Symphony Orchestra.
Arianna was the winner of the VCU Symphony’s Concerto Competition in 2022 and performed Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Violin Concerto in G Minor with the VCU Symphony in March 2023. In January 2024, Arianna was awarded the Sphinx Connect Fellowship and attended the Sphinx Connect Conference in Detroit, Michigan. Arianna is also a recipient of the 2023 Sigma Alpha Iota’s Women in Music Scholarship and was a winner of the 2023 and 2024 Janet S. Phelps Scholarship. When not performing (or practicing), Arianna enjoys getting coffee with friends and shopping with her best friend, cellist, Kevin Nguyen.
