Alexandra Curinga


Alexandra (Alex) Curinga graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Piano Performance at University of Lynchburg in 2013. While a student, Ms. Curinga won the University of Lynchburg Concerto Competition in 2011 and 2012 with works by F. Hoffmeister and D. Kabalevsky, respectively. She also performed as a violinist in the University of Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra. After graduation, Ms. Curinga volunteered with St. John the Apostle’s Catholic Church music ministry as principal violinist, substitute pianist, and children’s choir director. She has taught private music lessons for over 8 years, including piano, violin, viola, and music theory. Recent performances include guest-performer at the Esther C. Olin Lecture Recital on Piano Performance at University of Lynchburg, as well as Ms. Curinga’s own personal studio recitals. She currently works full-time as Marketing Generalist for Langley Federal Credit Union in Newport News.
